12 TTMBC Temporary Traffic Management Basic Course

Service Description

On completion of this course you will: Be aware of the relevant codes of practice and other associated 
documentation when involved in traffic management 
 Be aware of National Highway Sector Schemes (NHSS) Understand the QA process and NHSS documents Be aware of the different types of roads across the UK road network Be aware of which roads/works are covered by which NHSS document Be aware of the different classifications of “road users” i.e. pedestrians, horse riders, cyclists etc Understand the different terminology used in the Temporary Traffic Management (TTM) industry in relation to different roads Understand the process(es) required to become a qualified Operative and obtain a skills registration card, plus ongoing training to Supervisor level Be aware of Health and Safety requirements including risk assessments and method statements Have an understanding of the variety of TTM equipment and the basic principles of its use Understand what constitutes a safety zone Be aware of the general PPE requirements Understand crossing the carriageway HSE CIS53 Be aware of the different types of vehicles used in TTM and where they are used Understand the environment where learners are expected to work Be aware of the safe way to enter/exit a site Be aware of the need to maintain sites, and what is involved Know how to deal with accidents and emergencies within the works area. Live Lane Training Ltd Terms & Conditions of Booking By signing and returning this form you are agreeing to the terms and conditions listed below: 1. Training course booking costs should be paid by individuals or sole traders on booking (which must be at least 14 days prior to the event starting.) 2. Company payment terms vary from “on demand” to “30 days”. (A company profile review based on maturity, financial health and preferred term will be in place ahead of delivering the course) 3. Any training course cancellations 2-3 days ahead of the booked event will incur a 50% cancellation fee 4. Any learners on booked training courses or assessments cancelling with 1 day notice of attending the event or that do not complete the activity will still be charged at the full rate 5. Any person arriving late to the venue maybe refused access to the course or assessment activity 6. We reserve the right to cancel the event, you will be offered an alternative date or reimbursed any fees 7. We reserve the right to eject any person(s) that are considered disruptive to the event or cause any undue distress to any other attendee 8. Any attendee of the event are bound by our company polices and venue rules set out in the confirmation and pre learning e-mails. 9. Fees do not include any end product costs (certificates, cards, updates), as this is determined by the results of the event 10. Attendees must have completed any prerequisite NHSS training and/or assessment required for the event (details of which will be in your confirmation e-mail as a "Lantra combination rules" attachment) 11. It is the bookers responsibility to apply for the correct and appropriate course or assessment for the learner. 12. As a company we will supply attendees with: Direction to the venue address (where applicable), Adequate rest periods and welfare facilities, Inductions to the venue and site requirements, Our company policies, Means of taking their photograph if an identify card is required, Risk assessments, emergency contacts and assembly point location.
